Alex Stokoe participates in the Altenar Marathon and Half Marathon to support local children's charity.
Hundreds of runners, including Alex Stokoe from our Isle of Man office, gathered in the north of the Isle of Man to take part in the Altenar Marathon and Half Marathon on Sunday, 11th August.
Starting at Ramsey Promenade, those who were running the full marathon had to complete two laps of the Manx North course, which took them along parts of the northern coastline.
Alex managed to smash a finish time of 4 hours and 17 minutes; which saw him placed 43rd overall and 13th in the Senior Men's category - what a great effort for his first-ever marathon!
As well as raising his running game, he was also raising money for Wish Upon a Dream, an Isle of Man-based charity that grants wishes for sick and terminally ill children on the Island.
We are incredibly proud to have supported Alex in his fundraising journey for such a meaningful cause.
