Job Description

About The Role.

As part of the firm’s organic growth strategy, we have an opportunity for an individual who is motivated to become an integral part of a fast-growing Fund Administration firm by supporting loan administration activities.

Your duties will include:

  • Boarding new loans in our system, which will act as a subledger to the official books and records, Investran.  
  • Accounting for Lifecyle events (at present these are all bi-lateral loans). 
  • Working with the loan agent to ensure that the borrowers are invoiced properly and to ensure that their payments are received in a timely manner. 
  • Maintaining a calendar of deliverables and important dates related to each borrower’s covenants and reporting requirements.
  • Collecting financial information from the borrowers, aggregating that data and reporting back to the loan agent/client. 
  • Working with the respective fund administration team(s) to ensure that the loan accounting is correct in the official books and records for the fund.

About you.

You will be able to display a desire to learn, grow and roll up your sleeves to build a business, while simultaneously handling multiple assignments. The following attributes would also be advantageous: 

  • Studying towards a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related business degree. 
  • Introduction to financial products including, but not limited to, public and private equity, fixed income, venture capital, and real estate, a major plus. 
  • Previous experience working as an Associate or similar loan administration capacity. 
  • Self-motivated, confident, patient and a strong desire to exceed expectations. 
  • Exceptional verbal and written communications skills with unsurpassed attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a start-up environment with an entrepreneurial spirit, as well as the ability to demonstrate initiative and perform well under pressure.
