I am incredibly proud to have been a part of Suntera Global for the past 11 years. Throughout this journey, I’ve had the opportunity to grow both personally and professionally, thanks to the supportive and inspiring environment fostered by the team. After being made redundant from the Banking industry, I decided to retrain within HR. I gained experience and qualifications whilst working full time and looking after my family. Before I joined Suntera Global, I had gained my CIPD Level 3 of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development and Level 5 in 2019. Suntera Global have supported me whilst I completed the CIPD Level 7 Advanced Diploma in Strategic People Management. This course has been invaluable and has given me the in-depth knowledge of HR that I need to help support the business in my role of HR Manager.
Suntera considered my role and long-term professional journey and gave me the opportunity to study whilst working. With support from my manager and wider team I achieved my STEP certified qualification, and STEP Isle of Man award with the highest marks. Suntera provided me with training opportunities and are committed to creating an environment where all employees can grow and hone their skills.
I joined Suntera Global back in May 2017 as a Receptionist welcoming our clients and visitors to the office. It was my first office job, and I really enjoyed it as the people were friendly and supportive. I was then given the opportunity to apply for a Trainee position within the Private Wealth team and since then, I have been promoted from Trainee to Trust Officer and I am now a Senior Trust Officer. I have studied for my professional qualifications with Suntera's support and have been able to travel to meet clients. I feel confident that Suntera will continue to invest in me and my career over the coming years.

I joined Suntera in 2022 as a Compliance Administrator in the Guernsey office. Shortly after, I decided to relocate to Jersey. Suntera was incredibly supportive, providing me with an overview of the opportunities available in Jersey. Consequently, I was hired as a Senior Compliance Administrator, which has significantly supported my career development and mobility across our global business.
Following an Administration Studies course, I joined Suntera on reception. After 3 months, I moved into the Trust team, gained my STEP qualifications and was later promoted to a Senior Trust Officer. I was given an amazing opportunity to relocate to our Cayman Islands office. Suntera has been very supportive, providing assistance and guidance during the move. Expanding my knowledge and gaining new experiences has helped towards becoming an Assistant Manager.
Since having my children, I had a two year career break and came back to work on reduced hours. I can honestly say that, while I am grateful I had extended time with my girls, I am much happier and fulfilled having a balance between being ‘mum’ and being part of a brilliant team with lots of exciting opportunities and activities happening now.
I joined Suntera because I was excited by its strong female leadership, its ability to operate across multiple jurisdictions, and its commitment to a supportive, work-life balance. Suntera’s growth also brings about exciting and positive changes which appealed to me. Finding time for both work and family is always a juggling act. I'm lucky to have a job at Suntera that allows me to do both.
