About The Role.

The Client Accountant will manage a portfolio of clients, providing comprehensive accounting services and ensuring all financial reporting requirements are met. This role is ideal for a motivated and ambitious individual seeking career growth within the financial services sector.

Your duties will include:

Financial Reporting: Prepare management accounts and financial statements for client entities under UK GAAP or IFRS
Team Participation: Be part of a team of part or fully qualified accountants, ensuring all reporting deadlines are adhered to
Quality Assurance: Be responsible for and knowledgeable about the quality of work carried out for your clients
Review and Submission: Review work produced for submission to senior-level staff.
Collaboration: Collaborate with Client Relationship Managers in preparing periodic and regulatory reports
Tax Compliance: Liaise with tax advisors regarding ongoing tax compliance responsibilities.
Process Improvement: Identify and implement efficiencies within the accounting processes to enhance service delivery
Ad-hoc Projects: Assist with special projects and tasks as required, ensuring timely and effective completion

About you.

Skills and Requirements:

Fully qualified accountant (ACCA or ACA)
Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in funds accounting, corporate services, or audit
Strong knowledge of Guernsey fiduciary industry and regulatory requirements
Experience in fund accounting is desirable
Proficiency in using accounting software (e.g., NAVOne) is an advantage
Experience with complex financial structures
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively
Strong analytical and numerical skills
Project management skills are desirable
Ambitious with a high level of energy and commitment
Adaptable approach to using appropriate software and systems
Team spirit, capacity to build strong client relationships, and initiative to act without waiting for direction
