Global Head of Transparency, Claire Mulhern, will speak at the Chartered Institute of Taxation (CIOT) CRS update at The Sefton Hotel on Wednesday 8th December 2021.

This event will be the first post-covid, in-person CIOT seminar in the Isle of Man, and it will provide an update on FATCA/CRS and cover the following topics:

• Back to basics on entity classification including examples utilising common TCSP structures.
• Entity reclassification (when do you need to consider this and what is the impact of a change in entity classification).
• Account holders: how do you identify them and when are they reportable?
• An update from the Isle of Man Income Tax Division on their compliance review programme, common issues that they have seen to date and the IOM penalty regime.
• An international update on key themes from other similar jurisdictions (e.g. Jersey, Guernsey, Cayman, BVI).
