Job Description

About The Role.

In a growing business our Global Heads will develop new ways of working and have the opportunity to input into the evolution of our business processes on an ongoing basis.  All Global Heads will need to work together to deliver a cohesive message and service to the business. In this role you will plan, oversee and execute Suntera’s global compensation and benefits programs.

You will assess business and employee needs and draft targeted programs that will increase performance, organisational trust and satisfaction. You will be responsible for reviewing and modifying existing programs, ensuring these comply with current legislation and managing day-to-day compensation and benefits-related activities.

To be successful, you should be able to develop competitive and cost-efficient programs that will assist with employee retention and attract top talent. You will have extensive experience leading compensation and benefits programs, along with excellent decision-making skills. The goal is to attract, retain and motivate high quality employees while reducing turnover and enhancing our company’s profile as best place to work. 

Your duties will include:

  • Support the Chief People Officer to deliver the annual people strategy
  • Act as a positive role model for the Suntera brand and values
  • Provide a comprehensive HR service, advice and support to Managers, Directors and all other staff at Suntera, Delivering a professional and confidential service
  • Deliver people-related processes to support Suntera’s vision and strategy across the company
  • Partner with the Global Head of Talent Acquisition, Global Head of Operations, L&D HRBP to support the improvement, growth and implementation of HR processes that are robust and fit for purpose; ensuring all policies, procedures and Group standards are followed
  • Take a proactive approach in solutions and improvement in HR relevant to the current climate and aligned to the Business strategies
  • Lead the delivery and execution of the global annual salary review, bonus and promotions processes
  • Evaluate and modify existing compensation and benefits programs, policies, and procedures across all relevant jurisdictions
  • Develop and implement new compensation and benefits programs, policies, and procedures that fit and are aligned to Suntera’s strategy and business goals
  • Develop a global compensation philosophy in line with work culture and organisational objectives
  • Ensure all programs, policies, and procedures comply with current legislation (pay equity, human rights, etc)
  • Communicate with third-party services and providers to negotiate benefit plans and resolve benefit-related issues
  • Provide the Global HR team with compensation and benefits data to support recruitment and talent management activities
  • Develop reward and recognitions incentive schemes
  • Oversee and manage the Compensation and Benefits Senior HR Advisor and daily operations related to compensation and benefits activities
  • Participate in salary and labour market surveys to determine prevailing pay rates and benefits
  • Provide global HR data and analysis for global reporting requirements
  • Conduct ongoing research into emerging trends, issues and best practices

About you.

The successful candidate will have strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy. The following attributes would also be advantageous: 

  • Proven working experience as a Compensation and Benefits Specialist is preferred
  • Prior experience in HR practices and compensation cycle management
  • Working knowledge of job evaluation and job analysis systems
  • Previous experience with organisational psychology and labour market surveys
  • Adequate knowledge of current labour rules and regulations in relevant jurisdictions
  • Familiarity with various types of incentives and benefits
  • Extensive knowledge of global benefits and compensation programs, policies, procedures, and applicable legislation
  • Experience managing benefits and compensation in a Human Resources Information System (HRIS)
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Strong people and project management skills
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
