Suntera Global has been a main sponsor the IOM Sport Aid Academy since it was launched back in 2015 to promote optimal behaviours around sleep, rest and recovery to young athletes across the Isle of Man.
The latest edition will see a series of workshops and events held over the next two years to provide essential information about a range of topics relating to physical preparation, psychology and nutrition.
Paul Jones, Sports Performance Coordinator at Isle of Man Sport, spoke about the careful planning involved for the 2023-2025 programme:
‘The Academy strives to provide an honest, supportive and inspiring environment within which young people, their parents and coaches can develop their understanding of self, in relation to the individual roles, responsibilities, behaviours and skills required to move forward with a career in sport.
We are passionate about helping these young people to develop and progress in their sporting career and look forward to working with such an impressive group who have great potential to make a positive contribution to our community through sport in the years ahead."
Mark Reynolds, COO of Suntera Global, said:
"We are delighted to support the Sport Aid Academy once again and look forward to the newly-designed programme.
Paul and the team have put a lot of effort into ensuring the initiative is beneficial to the young people and their parents and I have no doubt that the workshops will play a significant role in helping those working towards becoming an elite athlete and, more importantly supporting the development of some key life skills regardless of whether a career in sport is achieved."
