Suntera Global has made donations totalling £3,500 to charities across its global network as part of its sustained campaign to champion diversity and female leadership.
Stemming from International Women’s Day (IWD) in March, which this year had the motto ‘choose to challenge’, staff from across Suntera Global’s office network have been developing and undertaking challenges to complete over the year.
Those challenges including stand-up paddleboarding around the Isle of Man, long-distance walking in the Bahamas and Jersey, tree-planting initiatives in Switzerland and the Cayman Islands, and team exercise challenges in Hong Kong.
In addition, the firm has now made donations totalling £3,500 to female-focused charities in each of its seven jurisdictions including:
Anne Baggesen, Managing Director of the Private Wealth Division at Suntera Global, and who is herself undertaking the paddleboard challenge in the Isle of Man, said:
“It’s important that our efforts to champion diversity, inclusion and women in leadership do not stop at International Women’s Day, which is why we have taken it upon ourselves as a business to sustain our efforts over the year by challenging ourselves and our teams.
All our challenges reflect the commitment our people have to championing gender equality and challenging the status quo, and we are now also really pleased to be making a contribution to charities across our jurisdictions that share our values. As a business, we are continuing to work with community and business groups to keep the gender equality debate at the top of the agenda.”
