Job Description

About The Role.

The Senior Trust Officer will report to the Assistant Manager, Trust Services, and manage a complex portfolio of trusts, companies, and wealth structures, ensuring top-tier service to clients, intermediaries, and stakeholders. With support from the Trust and Assistant Trust Officers, the role will involve providing technical guidance, mentorship, and oversight of the junior team. The officer will work on bespoke fiduciary services, delivering excellent client service and demonstrating strong technical expertise in complex transactions, while staying informed on current issues affecting fiduciary structures and clients.

Your duties will include:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of Trust and Estate laws, Company, and Fiduciary Structures
  • Working knowledge of Cayman Islands AML Regulations, and Compliance requirements
  • Strong experience in AEOI and Beneficial Ownership (review, classification, due diligence)
  • Previous experience with CAP and CORIS platforms
  • Proven practice in administering complex trust accounts in high volume
  • Ability to assimilate, prioritise and process a high volume of client requests with rigid deadlines and to work under pressure
  • Strong analytical skills for interpreting legal documents and financial statements
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client interaction and relationship management
  • Ability to provide strategic advice and solutions to meet clients’ trust and estate planning needs
  • Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and proficiency in trust management software and Microsoft Office Suite

About you.

Skills and Requirements: 

  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline or progress towards a bachelor’s degree would be advantageous
  • An internationally recognized professional qualification (such as STEP, ICSA) is required
  • Minimum of 5+ years of previous experience in trust or company administration/financial services environment
  • Establishes client trust via professional expertise, social contract, empathy, and personality
  • Superior communication (both oral and written), interpersonal, team, client service, organisation, problem-solving and administrative skills
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and effectively collaborate/manage change within a deadline-orientated, customer focused and diverse environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Language capability e.g., Spanish, French or Portuguese would be an advantage
